Reglazing
Multi-Surface Restoration Thanks to state-of-the-art restoration, now there is no need to tear out plumbing, rip up floors or damage walls to replace bath fixtures that are worn, stained, scratched, cracked or just ugly. Restore worn or damaged fixtures and surfaces such as bathtubs, tiles and fiberglass units. The Tub Doctors, Inc. will give your old bathtub an upgrade by ridding it of unsightly stains, scratches, dents and giving it a totally new appearance. Most bathroom fixtures need refinishing for both cosmetic and hygienic reasons. When a surface becomes worn or cracked, allowing stains to appear, it has become pitted or porous. This can allow dirt and germ deposits to take hold and build up. When restoring a surface, the old, worn unsightly surface is cleaned and chemically etched. Any chips, scratches or dents are filled and sanded smooth. The surface is primed, and then sprayed with poly-urethane glaze to give your old stained fixture “new life”. This polyurethane finish will give the surface a strong-durable lustrous finish that is fully guaranteed for 4 years. This process takes anywhere from 2-3 hours to do and requires a 48-hour dry time. Once the surface is dry, with proper care and maintenance, should last many years. We do have two options for the glazing, we can install a new Watco drain/overflow to compliment you “new” tub and/or a permanent slip resistant bottom. Reglazing the bathtub will improve it’s longevity as well as enhance the appearance of the bathroom.
